Dental Fillings

Dental Fillings in Macquarie Park

Dental fillings are a non-invasive way to treat teeth that have moderate to advanced tooth decay, or even minor fracture. Here at Marsfield Dental Care, Dr Mary Choo and her team of dentists are familiar with the latest technical skills and of a variety of tooth fillings materials, from ceramic to gold. From tooth decay to loss of enamel and tooth sensitivity, a dental filling may be what you need to keep yourself healthy.

Dental Fillings for a Perfect Set of Teeth

Has your dentist diagnosed you with any tooth decay? Are you experiencing pain from a cavity or a broken tooth? Marsfield Dental Care takes care to make the process of relieving your pain as hassle-free and as comfortable as possible. We have placed dental fillings in teeth from all regions of the mouth.

We take pride in our efficiency and clinical effectiveness in removing dental decay from all regions of the mouth and using a variety of dental materials to restore missing tooth structure. Our dental fillings restore function and appearance and will get you out of discomfort as soon as possible.

What Will the Procedure Look Like?

Dental fillings aren’t as major an operation as you may initially think. In fact, it’s a single visit to the dental clinic that may only clock an hour. Starting with dental x-rays and a consultation, your dentist will numb the teeth and gums, drill out the rotten part of the tooth, and then fill in the resulting hole with a material of your choice.

This part of the procedure actually only lasts a few minutes, meaning minimum discomfort for you. Aside from some ongoing numbness in the mouth for a few hours, there is little recovery time needed, with little risk of complications.

The Different Types of Fillings We Do

Many different types of fillings can be done at Marsfield Dental Care. We will advise you honestly on the most suitable tooth filling material for your decayed teeth, and treat your concerns with care. You can rest assured that we will treat you and your family with dignity and respect at each appointment.

Please note that risks and consequences may apply to any treatment. Always seek a second opinion when considering complex treatment. A referral to a specialist may be advisable in certain cases. As the size of dental fillings varies, we can only give accurate quotations after an assessment, so we cannot give accurate quotations over the phone.

The patient wanted to replace an old metal filling with a more aesthetic tooth-coloured one. The end result: The old metal filling was conservatively removed and replaced with a composite resin filling. To determine if any treatment is suitable for you, please seek a consultation first.
